Location: South Wales (Cardiff Bay, relocating to north Newport 2018/2019)

Can you imagine a future powered by new technologies based on compound semiconductors?

We are looking for an Automotive Power Electronics Engineer who has experience working on multiple projects, an engineer who has experience in design, modelling, simulation and testing of Power Electronics Systems. We are looking for an engineer with a background working in Automotive Electronic Engineering.

We look to employ people based on ability and attitude; we measure what you deliver and how you do it.

Our vision is to make the UK a global leader in developing and commercialising new applications for Compound Semiconductors.

You will be working on the next generation of technologies which will impact our lives. From 5G communications to autonomous electric vehicles, we are supporting the UK of tomorrow.

The Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult is a Not for Profit organisation, here to help the UK economy grow, and we work across the UK with a range of industry sectors from automotive to medical, and from digital communications to aerospace. We bridge the gap between idea and implementation by removing barriers faced by SMEs.

The Power Electronics team are focusing on next generation solutions for the transport and energy sectors, covering converters and inverters for electric vehicles, more electric aircraft and supply grid applications.
